Carnivale 2010 will be held between Friday 21 May to Sunday 30 May.
With over 10,000 lining the streets during the Macrossan Street Parade, 3,000 attending the Family Beach Day, 1,000 at the Great Aussie Arvo an over 2,000 at Food Wine and a Taste of Port, Carnivale 2009 went down in history as the best attended ever.
For 10 balmy days and nights at the end of May 2009, the festival of Carnivale took over the seaside resort village of Port Douglas offering visitors a chance to flirt with life and engage in a kaleidoscope of free and ticketed events. Music, arts, sports, food, culture and all styles of entertainment culminated in a spectacular street parade.
The Port Douglas Sands Resort has always had a proud association with this event.
Now 17 years old, Carnivale has grown from a street fiesta to a broad program which involves the entire community. |
